In connection with Pride Month, this event explores the State Library’s ongoing work to better represent LGBTQIA+ communities within its collections. This ranges from uncovering incredible untold stories to proactive collecting projects aimed at addressing historical gaps, as well as reinterpretations reckoning with the lives and stories that have been denied, ignored, or hidden. A conversation about visibility, inclusion, and cultural memory — the achievements so far, the projects underway, and the work that is yet to come.
This event is held in partnership with Schwartz Media.
