Dennis Golding is an artist born and raised on Gadigal Country, with ancestral ties to Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay Country (north-west NSW) and Biripi Country (mid-north coast NSW). His practice examines representations of race and identity, drawing on his upbringing across Gadigal and Bidjigal countries and the inner-Sydney Aboriginal community of Redfern. He works across painting, sculpture, video, photography and installation.
He has exhibited at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of History NSW and Carriageworks, and his work features in public art installations across Sydney.
Golding is currently participating in the 25th Biennale of Sydney: REMEMORY, and exhibiting On the Foreshore, a community mural project with the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and Bayside Council.
